Employee Benefit Plans

Rothman Rocco LaRuffa LLP is proud to represent numerous welfare, pension, 401(k) and training and joint apprenticeship plans. Our attorneys attend plan trustee meetings and provide day-to-day advice on plan administration, along with advice concerning fiduciary responsibilities and compliance with ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, and other laws applicable to benefit plans.

We are also proficient in, and routinely handle litigation on behalf of benefit plans, such as suits regarding benefit claims, delinquent contributions and withdrawal liability. Our experience also extends to assisting plans in navigating audits from the United States Department of Labor, Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation, IRS, and various state agencies.

We also help our benefit fund clients design and implement employee benefit plans, and during collective bargaining agreement negotiations we advise on employee benefit proposals.
